Thanks for the write-up.

I can only propose to use Console2, with gives a little more space than
80x25. See http://sourceforge.net/projects/console/

There are some other tweaks I have, but I don't have a list of them
around - eventually I'll build a coreboot SDK which packages msys, cross
compiler toolchain and other bits in a single neat installer, but I
guess that will take a while.
