Three things to try and do. 1. Try to use a newer Linux kernel. Trying to fix the Linux kernel is much easier and more likely, if the reports are against the latest version. Do you have a spare disk with a newer Linux kernel installed?Debian Sid/unstable currently ships Linux 4.0.8. Linux 4.1 could be installed from the Debian experimental archives. 2. Turn on debugging of the Linux i915 module [1]. > To obtain a dmesg with debug information, add drm.debug=0xe to your > kernel command line or, if you have display issues with kernel 4.1 > or newer, use drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=1M instead.
