Sorry for potential thread hijack, did anyone observed vendor's clock generator setup on these models? I remember seeing exactly the same behavior with z61t when I borrowed clock generator setup from neighbor model, everything was fine until OS was booted and idled to C3. Though CPU are quite different, the problem might lie in the same area :)
