Maybe some additional information: I was using CONFIG_TIANOCORE_COREBOOTPAYLOAD=y. With CONFIG_TIANOCORE_UEFIPAYLOAD, I get a build failure. I've opened https://ticket.coreboot.org/issues/303 for this.
