Dear Ziang,

Thank you for your instant reply.

Like described in this post [1], we have set up a public dev branch,
discussions took place in leadership meetings over the past 2
months.

I forgot about that already. Thank you for the pointer.

Reading my message, I might have missed to make the main point. I guess, I’d love to see, if a new public development branch is created, announcing it on the list would be great, stating it’s existence and “purpose”. On Gerrit, it looks like, in contrast to repositories, branches do not have a description.

Since the end goal of this dev branch is final integration with the
main branch, review is definitely welcomed! Yet we've got some
feedback about people getting spammed by our CR sessions XD. So
reviewers have been limited within our organization in recent ones.
(Looks like you and Max are by default added to the reviewer list on
each patch change under the current setting.)

Considering it will be duplicated review effort when dev_bd is
merged into main in the future, it's really up to you to whether
participate in our dev CRs. Anyone's opinion will be taken carefully
regardless of 1 or 2 vote weight.

Sounds great.

Please reply to this email or simply DM me over slack if you want to
be involved. I will loop you into the reviewer list for future
patches.

I have no problem in being added as reviewer. It was just a general
question about tips to work with Gerrit and more branches.
