When you say that it did not "build", it sounds like there was a compilation error or link error. In fact, there were only test failures. Maybe that is a particular slang inside Fedora, but in my understanding (outside Fedora) test failures are of a lower severity than compilation errors. Regarding these two unit tests: The unit tests are correct. It's the code in glibc (post 2.37) that isn't.
