I would like to replace my macOS closed-source "df" with one that has one or two features I am not skilled enough to code in C.
1) needs to have apfs as one of the filesystem types for -T (Apple's version does) 2) needs to be able to exclude or "include only" certain strings in the output using regex patterns. Maybe -v, like egrep has, or -x for "eXclude" (Apple's version doesn't) 3) the column spacing should be computed on the filtered output. 4) these features should work on any locale, even utf-8 with characters outside of ISOLatin1 The reason for #3 instead of just using a pipe to egrep is that Apple usually has mounted a few "snaphots" waiting to be transferred to backup. Each is a locally mounted APFS filesystem with a Filesystem name of 56 characters and a mount pount of 106 characters. Results in output about 150% the width of my screen, and I never have any reason to look at those. I'm sure there's not a high demand for this, but if it were there, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it. -- Wes Groleau 伟思礼 “If you are offered a free lunch, you are the lunch”
