Is there any reason why most documentation (including help) says "print" (other than tradition).

It seems to me that very few people actually print the output. Additionally, regarding pipes, the "output" from one program is not "displayed"

I'm not suggesting a massive change but perhaps as changes are made, the help (and man pages) could be updated.
