Location: EL MONTE, CA Length: 3 Months Skills: Oracle 8/9/10g and 11g,SUN UNIX, LINUX,RDBMS Description: 12+ years of progressive experience in database administration including Oracle 8/9/10g and 11g Excellent understanding of business processes executed in research based global pharmaceutical companies in a global environment where systems are implemented in multiple languages using Oracle Extensive experience on Oracle on SUN UNIX, LINUX Demonstrated mastery of RDBMS technology and including its internals and the technologies it interfaces for Oracle Operating system level design, sizing, optimization and troubleshooting expertise which includes a good understanding of OS kernels and internals for Solaris, Linux and Unix and Windows Solid experience with Raw device management using SAN, and NAS technologies in a highly shared environments. Deep understanding of Storage systems, proper application of wide ranging storage solutions to suit critical application needs Thoroughly proficient in network modeling techniques, troubleshooting of network related problems and mapping those insights to business process related activity Manage proactive and reactive performance tuning and methodologies/ strategies of the entire technology stack including RDBMS Performance Tuning at all levels - database, server, SQL Manage Performance Standards/Best Practices.
