*Websphere Commerce Server Developer* *NEW YORK CITY* *6 MONTHS PLUS * *Rate - open + exp* ** *3 Positions* ** *Our client is currently seeking an experienced WebSphere Commerce Developer with a strong background in J2EE to join their team. Successful candidates should understand the WebSphere Commerce architecture, is able to use the WebSphere Commerce development tools to create and customize WebSphere Commerce V7, is familiar with the WebSphere Commerce API/Object model and underlying DB2 schemas, common WebSphere Commerce programming techniques, and methods for extending WebSphere Commerce’s Object model and front-end application interfaces (e.g., Merchandiser). This individual must understand optimization techniques to integrate the WebSphere Application Server model with WebSphere Commerce. This individual must be proficient in Web Service development (e.g., SOAP, REST) and best practices. This individual will move flexibly between different e-commerce project lifecycle stages and should exemplify a “best practices” approach to other developers on our team.* ** *On a day-to-day basis candidates will perform the following activities:* *- Design and develop high-quality applications using IBM WebSphere Commerce framework* *- Adhere to best practice coding standards* *- Participate in defining and validating project requirements; review and contribute to functional specifications* *- Prepare technical specifications and documentation on newly developed and/or maintained system components* *- Integrate Websphere Commerce with Message Broker, MQ or other ESB technologies* *- Define application workflow, control points, and recovery processes* *- Participate in all aspects of project testing and the implementation process* *- Research and resolve production issues in a timely and effective manner.
