As a DBA, you will design and maintain databases and database solutions that operate within prescribed resource limits and meet company standards; participate in and contribute to all phases of systems development projects; and monitor and tune database and database application performance. Your duties will include maintaining database schemas; providing consultation in DB coding and problem resolution; maintaining metadata repositories; providing expertise in DB Access methods, device allocations and organization. In addition, you will develop maintenance, backup and recovery procedures and documentation; manage DB performance and disk usage; and participate in testing and in evaluations of software release upgrades. Our client offers a fantastic working environment that is challenging and supportive. *Requirements:* * 3+ years of experience as a DB2 DBA on the z/OS platform. * Must have experience with BMC Change Manager tool for DB2 z/OS (Catalog Manager, MainView and Log Master would be a plus). * Experience with scripting languages such as REXX, Perl, ASP would be a plus. * DB2 for UNIX, and/or SQL Server would be a plus. * Ideally should be proficient in DML, DDL, and database utilities, as well as all access methods of a DBMS, and the underlying operating system access methods. * Experience in coding and review of SQL, stored procedures, and triggers would be a plus.
