Description: Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with developers, clients and IT management for web systems environments. Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with web and e-commerce application installations, upgrades and deployments. Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate web systems with existing systems, enabling the creation of new or expanded web enterprises. Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures. Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets. As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems involving the maintenance and/or creation of web sites and e-commerce applications and their integration into the existing systems environment. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Below is the job description from the hiring manager: Minimum Qualification 5-7 years technical background and 3-5 years directly related to webMethods Integration Server. 3 + years experience in with the following applications J2EE Applications and middleware on primarily the Unix/linux platform, WebMethods 6.1, 6.5, 7.1.2, SunOne Web Servers.* *Production support experience in a critical environment. Ability to coordinate with multiple groups to resolve complex issues. Understanding of multi tier environments. Details . Strong webMethods IS Administration with expertise in Installation, Configuration, Tuning, and Deploying applications. Experience with webMethods IS Versions 6.1, 6.5, 7.1.2 . Strong webMethods experience with the following webMethods IS components such as: - webMethods Broker - webMethods Trading Network - webMethods adapters such as JDBC and MQ. - webMethods Reverse Invoke or Reverse HTTP Gateway - webMethods Installer - webMethods certificate toolkit - MyWebmethods Server 7.1.2 . Troubleshooting experience of a webMethods Server application such as package deploy, configuration, installing client certificate, checking RI and broker connections, documents in queue, error handling and debugging, scheduled services.. . Expert knowledge on distributed systems and the support of highly distributed deployment J2EE servers. * *Expert experience in shell and ANT scripting to automate and monitor the webmethods routine tasks. . Linux (Red Hat) and Solaris experience. . Good working knowledge of Monitoring Tools such as Introscope, HP OPENVIEW, BMC Patrol. . Experience in networking, TCP/IP, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP. . Excellent communication, relationship building and client partnering skills required (must be able to be understood by others) . Experience working in high-pressure, enterprise-class environment preferred . Experience with https servers such as Iplanet, Sunone, Apache. Ability to troubleshoot and debug problems with http servers. . Experience with monitoring & integrating application with Wily Intrascope. . Experience with Symantec Anti-Virus Engine. .
