Java Senior Developer - Bookbuilder team A few key points of this role. Swing/client side development is the more important technical aspect and business exposure is a huge plus, ideally fixed income or primary credit. Looking for a Senior Java developer to join the BookBuilder team at Brokerage Firm in order to develop and support a Primary Credit trading system. This is a global system with over 1000+ users in Americas, Europe and Asia. This is a Java / C++ based three-tier application interacting with other internal trading systems and, in the future, other Primary Credit systems as well. Main Duties The ideal candidate will have 5 -8 years experience as a Java developer (both core and Swing) with a strong understanding of Object Oriented Design, patterns and analysis. Right candidate must be able to take ownership of projects and work independently. Experience working at a financial firm with a background in Primary Credit is preferred. Person Requirements Required Skill set 1. Strong Core Java 2. Strong Swing framework 3. Solid design skills 4. Good understanding of XML (generating, parsing, etc) 5. Familiarity with databases (either Sybase or Oracle), e.g. stored procedures, triggers, etc. 6.
