Location: 6-12 months Location: Olympia, WA Project start date: 18th Jan 2011 Please send your resume on *[email protected]* The client's enterprise data warehouse environment consists of SQL Server 2008 EE 64-bit, Windows 2008, SSIS, and Hyperion front-end, although their customers use a variety of ODBC-compliant front-end tools, such as Access, Excel, and Business Objects XI. They have many subject databases (Data Marts). We would consider their data warehouse a hybrid of Enterprise Data Warehouse, Operational Data Store and Data Marts. In order to help improve their industrial insurance business processes and customers’ ultimate outcomes, they require an analytical database containing quantitative information about time-loss claims duration, claims costs, medical costs, employer premiums, retrospective rating rebates and employer collections. The database will be used to help target areas with the greatest potential cost savings. It will also help their staff improve services for injured workers, employers, physicians and vocational rehabilitation counselors. The work effort would involve analyze requirements, then design and build a Historical Data Warehouse (DW) in a Windows SQL Server 2008 64 bit Enterprise Edition environment using MS SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS), WebSphere Tx, and Kimball methodology. The work will include architectural review, data modeling, business analysis and development. *Skills Required*** Responsible for performing business analysis that has led and performed business analysis to answer key business questions on at least 2 Business Intelligence projects. Knowledge and experience in leading and working collaboratively with business area subject matter experts in analysis sessions to fully understand, identify and document business requirements of the customer’s business area; Knowledge and experience working collaboratively with end users and technical staff to identify business and technical requirements; Ability to document, present and confirm analysis sessions findings; Knowledge and experience identifying and documenting the data requirements that are necessary to answer business reporting requirements and to provide for the analytical needs of the client; Experience in Insurance industry or Workers Compensation Data Warehouse (DW).
