Perform code upgrade for applications running on IBM WAS 6.0 to IBM WAS 7.0 . Enhance current application code per users' requirements . Identify and resolve application bugs .Optimize application code to meet performance requirements . Apply security requirements to the application to comply with information security guidelines . Enhance application user interface . Perform code review and code walk through . Create project related documents as needed. * Required Skills:* . Degree, majoring in Computer Science/Information Systems, with a minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience in building java based EE applications . Strong understanding of Object Oriented technology and standard java development frameworks . Software Development Life Cycle Experience . Extensive knowledge in Java, J2EE, Adobe FLEX builder 3.0/4.0, IBATIS DAO framework, Java SE 1.4/1.5/1.6, STRUTS, SPRING, EJB, Servlets, RMI, JDBC, JNDI, JNI, Java Beans - DOJO. . Working knowledge in JSP, Java Scripts, XML/XSLT, HTML and DHTML . Experience in analysis & design using UML and case complete. . Experience with JBOSS 4.x, IBM RAD with WebSphere Application server 6.x/7.x, TOMCAT, Apache and Oracle Application server 10g. . Experience with WebSphere Portal Server 6.1 and 7.0 including WebSphere Portlet Factory (using Eclipse), Portlet API (JSR 168) and Portal Development Toolkit as well as IBM WSAD (WebSphere Studio Application Developer), RAD (Rational Application Developer). . Specialized in using IDEs like Eclipse 3.x, IBM Web Sphere Application Developer 5.x and Eclipse3.0 with JBOSS Test environment. . Strong knowledge of Oracle 10g SQL, PL/SQL procedures, Oracle Application server and object library for Java *Desired Skills:* . Experience in analysis & design using UML and case complete . Knowledge of LDAP, Java Authentication and Authorization Services (JAAS), Sun OpenSSO, Kerberos, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Secure Socket Layer(SSL), Transport Layer Security (TLS) . Knowledge of two-factor authentication using RSA will be an added advantage. .Strong knowledge of Oracle 10g SQL, PL/SQL procedures, Oracle Application server and object library for Java development. Knowledge on Oracle APEX will be an added advantage. . Experience in Code control tools such as Clearcase .
