Warren, NJ 6+ months contract Start Date: ASAP Qualifications: 8+ years of Data Warehouse development experience 5+ years hands-on experience with Ab Initio. In-depth understanding of the GDE, core component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De-partition & Partition), file management utilities and usage of environment variables. Experience with advanced Ab Initio capabilities; conduct it, BRE , continuous flows, MUT, Pset, Vectors etc. Directly responsible for at least 1 comprehensive Data Warehouse architecture Hands-on experience designing, developing and optimizing complex solutions that move and/or manipulate large volumes of data Hands-on experience and expertise analyzing and optimizing performance of extracts, loads and transformations Hands-on experience and proficiency with SQL Hands-on experience and proficiency with Unix and shell scripting Strong knowledge and use of BI/DW development methodologies, standards and procedures Resourceful, self starter, little supervision needed Good team work and communication skills Understanding of change management and automation/repeatability Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks Experience leading onshore and offshore resources to deliver against a plan, manage and resolve issues, and report status Demonstrates the ability to effectively size and estimate development efforts Demonstrates the ability to present technical issues to non-technical audiences Responsibilities: Lead the analysis, design, development and testing of the most complex of Ab Initio software components. Coach staff to contribute to and work on the complex work streams where practical.
