Transfer to staff DBA, information on structure and content of existing production databases. This information includes: a. Table design standards, table relationships, and table contents. b. Identifying the applications that INSERT and UPDATE data. c. SQL used to create each view. d. Identifying legislative offices that use specific tables and views. e. Methods for document versioning and authentication. 2. Transfer to staff DBA, knowledge of Oracle database 11g (or latest version) including: a. Oracle database installation, configuration, administration. b. Relational database design and implementation. c. Batch loading of data from CSV or Microsoft Excel files. d. Techniques for data integrity e.g., indexing, defragmentation, backup & recovery, flashback, standby-by server. 3. Serve as backup to staff DBA. Able to perform all maintenance operations when staff DBA is absent. 4. Design and code SQL statements for use by other programmers. 5. Contribute to re-design of database tables containing XTEND: Person, Role, Document, and Session data. 6. Contribute to improvements for full-text searching of documents stored in the database. 7. Contribute to the design and implementation of a long-term data archive architecture, based on the Oracle database. 8. Complete DBA assignments as assigned.
