he main purpose of this position is to specialize in one or more areas of new application / database development. Developer will be responsible for analyzing, programming, documenting, debugging, and testing applications in the development environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Actively participate in the design, coding, unit and integration testing of a major enhancement to an existing J2EE/DB2 UDB application.
• Write and test code in batch environment
• Analyze, document & execute data conversion
• Support integration and system testing
• Provide regular status reports, including current/planned tasks, problems and solutions
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Must have DB2 UDB ver. 8/9, Strong SQL, Stored Procedures, Data conversion experience, AIX, Shell Scripting, Inbound/Outbound Feeds development
• Must be able to design and implement complex Stored procedure solutions to programming challenges, particularly in the areas of design patterns and code re-use
• Must be well versed in writing complex and highly performing SQL scripts/UNIX Shell scripts for Data Conversion/Batch Processes
• Must be able to document work clearly, in the form of class and sequence diagrams, as well as liberal comments in code
• Must be well versed in writing inbound & outbound feeds and interactions with other systems including Linkage Testing
Nice-to-have Skills
• Tuning Database/SQL performance
• Crystal Reports, Java, _javascript_
• Experience with IDEs and debuggers such as Embarcadero Rapid SQL,
• Data Model experience using Embarcadero ER Studio / Erwin
