Job Description:
Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 5+ years of experience
Technical/Functional Skills :
- Good understanding on the software development/test lifecycle, testing processes and defects lifecycle
- Experience in identifying test scenarios from requirements/use cases
- Clear documentation skills in the form of test cases & test scenarios
- Good experience in developing basic SQL queries and comfortable in querying the database
- Understanding of Basic Unix commands, shell scripting & XML Templates
- Experience in Pharmacy domain/any retail application would be an added advantage
- Great Communication skills and comprehensive attitude.
- Good Understanding of SDLC process.
- Team Management Skills – Must Have (Client Communication/ Effort estimation/ Test Planning/ Hands on for test execution).
- Good Understanding of SDLC process.
- Quality Center experience
- Exposure to QTP – Preferred/ but not required
Experience Required : At least 5+ years of experience
Roles & Responsibilities :
1. Gaining functional expertise of the newer application areas within short duration
2. Test Scenarios development from the use cases/requirements documents
3. Test case development from the developed test scenarios
4. Test case execution and test results communication, resolving issues by discussion with the development, environment and test teams
5. Defect logging and tracking them to closure
6. Replication of production/UAT defects and documentation of test results
7. Running data base queries and collecting results required for testing.
8. Creation of XML templates for testing purposes based on the schema provided
9. Coordination with offshore team as and when necessary.
10. Execute batches using preliminary unix commands based on the use cases and batch requirements
Generic Managerial Skills : Good analytical skills, interpersonal skills and Communication skills, Good attitude, Flexible in learning new concepts/application areas
Education : Bachelor of Engineering, MCA
