Kindly find below requirement and forward resume to a...@olop.net Rate is $55/hr on C2C ; GC or USC preferred; Title: QA Location: NYC Duration: Long Term Description: The Quality Assurance Specialist evaluates software development procedures to insure that each phase of the software development life cycle delivers quality outputs, so that the final product meets user requirements for function, performance and reliability, and so that the final product conforms to agency guidelines and standards. To do this, the QA Specialist will: • Develop and maintain quality standards and evaluation procedures for each phase of the Software Development Life Cycle. • Specify and develop standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality and release readiness. • Oversee QA efforts for QA team. • Participate in product design reviews and review documents to evaluate the quality of functional requirements, product designs and schedules. Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness, and to mitigate risks. • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, user interfaces, or content. • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality. • Install and configure recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software correctness, usability and performance. • Evaluate, recommend and design software for testing and bug tracking. • Install, maintain, and use software testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability. • Design and maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures. • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates. • Document test procedures to ensure compliance with standards. • Conduct software readiness tests. • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. • Coordinate user or third party testing. • Conduct historical analyses of test results *SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS * References should be provided from at least two former or current clients where the contractor has performed the same or similar work. Provide the name, address, phone number and e-mail address of the reference as well as a brief description of the work performed. *Right To Hire* The Department (HPD) reserves the right to hire the selected consultant as an employee at any time during the contract. In the event of a consultant hire by HPD, the firm will be prohibited from charging or penalizing the consultant in any form, financial or otherwise. The consultant will be made aware of this condition as part of the contracting process. *Contractor Furnished Equipment* The consultant will be required to have his/her own voice/data activated blackberry-based cellular phone during the contract period.
