Analyze and document any software failures; interpret and clarify related functional issues not met by the software. · Collects and analyzes data for evaluation and improvements, and integrate them to meet business requirements. · Experience in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scripts and testing environments for complex software to assure consistency between the specifications and software. · Excellent communication and technical writing skills in large corporate environments is also a requirement *Mandatory Skill/Expertise* · Specific knowledge of HP Quality Center and its tool · Developing Test Scripts for Web-based application performance and stress testing · Knowledge of PHP and C++ Programming Languages · Identify and develop the necessary test scripts needed to successfully perform a stress test on the given application. The consultant will review the current configuration with MTA Long Island Rail Road Information Technology resources. Execute the stress test, simulating a pre-determined number of users and locations. The results will be analyzed · and the configuration modified if necessary. Subsequent retests may be needed to determine the optimal configuration. · The consultant shall review the current documented test cases. The goal is to provide a report identifying the feasibility of automating all or a subset of these test cases. The report shall provide an estimate of the resources needed to maintain the automated test scripts as the version of the application evolves · The consultant shall test to requirements in the Functional Requirements Specification (FRS).
