*Description*
Software Engineer’s that join our team can be assigned to one of several
exciting projects developing new virtual Internet-based payment solutions,
customer service portals, online merchant services support and integration,
credit management tools, and suites of web-based applications.
You will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team responsible for
delivering world-class solutions across multiple channels, including native
iOS, Android, web, social integration, Java services, PEGA PRPC, and APIs.
You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of
concept to deliver against the existing and future need.There is an
expectation that candidates will complete training and certification in
PegaRules Process Commander (PRPC), System Architect (CSA), Methodology
Black Belt (CMBB), and Customer Process Manager Architect (CPM) within 3
months of joining and take the role of PEGA Engineer for one of our Next
Generation PEGA Servicing Portals or Back Office Platforms.
*Job Responsibilities:*
- Serves as a senior member of an engineering team that designs and
develops software applications
- Owns all technical aspects of software development for assigned
applications; Performs hands-on architecture, design, and development of
systems
- Splits time between writing code and testing, in support of
product/platform release sprints
- Drives consistent development practices - tools and common components;
Developing deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms
within the supported domains and working to simplify them, where possible
- Works with technical product managers contributing to blueprints, and
assists with annual planning of feature sets
- Liaises with technical product owner to help prioritize items in
backlog for ongoing sprints
- Identifies exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies to
solve existing needs and predicting future challenges
- Mentoring and management of a team of Engineers
*Qualifications*
- BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other
technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in building and implementing model-driven,
enterprise-level business solutions and applications
- Experience in all phases of software development, including design,
configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of
large-scale, business-centric and process-based applications
- Experience managing entry level engineers
- Exposure to a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to,
WebSphere or Weblogic, JEE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java), .Net, Oracle,
DB2, and MS/SQL
- Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design,
software development, and testing
- A proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into
working software
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business
partners
- Expertise in Object Oriented techniques and principles
- Experience with PegaRULES Process Commander (PRPC) System or other
Business Process Management (BPM) system is a plus
