*Job Title:* Sr. Big Data Engineer *Location: *Morris Plains, NJ *Start Date:* ASAP *End Date:* 8/31/2016 Job Duties: Create requirements analysis, design of the technical architecture, design of the application design and development, testing, and deployment of proposed solutions Design and develop full life-cycle Hadoop solutions. This includes creating the requirements analysis, design of the technical architecture, design of the application design and development, testing, and deployment of the proposed solution. Streaming technologies like Spark, Kafka, Storm, SparkSQL Work with and evaluate open source technologies and demonstrate ability to make objective choices Experience Overall hands-on implementation experience working with a combination of the following technologies: Hadoop, Map Reduce, Pig, Hive, Impala, HAWQ 4+ years’ of overall programming experience in scripting languages such as Java and Scala, python, R, Pig Strong knowledge of noSQL of at-least one noSQL database like HBase and Cassandra. Working Experience with implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery tools Experience scaling applications to processing multiple petabytes Experience with shell scripting/window powershell scripting Desired Skills: Strong Knowledge of BigData Ingestion and Data processing patterns.
