Duration: Long Term
1) Knowledge on Teradata Architecture, Space management, Joins, Joining
Strategies, Indexes and data protection methods
2) Hands on SQL and PL/ SQL
3) Knowledge on Performance Tunings
4) Hands on TD utilities
5) Analytical Skills to understand the requirements and convert them into
Technical code
Should be able to successfully
1. Use Teradata utilities fastload, multiload, tpump to
load data.
2. Write BTEQ scripts to transform data.
3. Write Fastexport scripts to export data.
4. Write, test and implement Teradata Fastload, Multiload
and Bteq scripts, DML and DDL.
5. Should be very Strong in writing SQL queries
6. Knowledge in basic Unix commands and shell scripts
7. Write views based on user and/or reporting requirements.
8. Gather system design requirements, design and write
system specifications.
9. Will be expected to be available for on-call response in
order to provide 24x7 emergency response capabilities.
