Analyzes, designs and develops reporting to meet the needs of business users throughout the Finance organization. Evaluates existing reporting to determine if opportunities with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) exist. Reviews month end reporting needs to determine if existing reporting can be consolidated, scheduled, automated or enhanced to drive time savings in the Accounting close process and reduce redundancy. Works with business and IT teams to gather requirements, perform process interviews and process documentation. Develops new reporting and modifies existing reporting to support business needs. Tools used are Cognos Report Studio and Query Studio. Custom reporting through free form SQL is also used. Identifies, analyzes and implements process improvements. This is achieved through automation, report enhancement, consolidation and documentation. Manages backlog of requests by determining value add and then prioritizes work accordingly. JIRA is the primary tool that the work is managed with. Understand the basic accounting principles and finance business units. Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to facilitate the work. Understands when to escalate issues or risks as appropriate to management if unable to resolve within the team. Handles difficult situations well and helps facilitate discussions for solutions. Working with the business on required business changes. Final approvals of change initiatives and communication plans. Business, Communications, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, Risk Management, IT Knowledge and experience with creating reports in Cognos Report Studio, Cognos Query Studio and free form SQL. Financial analysis and or business intelligence analysis experience. SQL proficiency. Advanced Excel. Solid experience with financial reporting and accounting policies.
