Position 2: Requirement - Event Support Group
Location : Mountain view, CA Google Group: Assistant Rate: $25 per hr *Event Support Coordinator* *Position Overview:* to provide support for special events on a per-project basis. The expectation will be that this person is providing support to set up, test and troubleshoot features and devices leading up to the event as well as on-site support on the day(s) of the event. *Responsibilities * · Provide tactical planning of activities around getting hardware to events (tracking, shipping, etc) · Manage the preparation and setup of demo products. This can include hardware and software tasks. · Help end users troubleshoot the technical issues in relevant product areas at both the events · Provide general customer support for stakeholder assets internally to product teams and field testers and at events when applicable. · Manage the movement of materials from manufacturers and suppliers to event sites · Coordination and tactical planing of activities that include but are not limited to event distribution, logistics, event demo, A/V unit setups and event IT support. · Responsible for arranging own travel and other logistics to attend agreed upon events. · · Ensure minimal disruption to operational support and coverage during events. *Required Qualifications:* · Background in tactical event planning · Comfortable working with hardware and software · Experience working with devices, troubleshooting, set up, etc. · Technical · Customer experience · Logistics · Operational Position 3: FPGA Engineer My observation is that most of the profiles received so far fall in either of below 2 categories 1) Very less FPGA experience ( 1 or 2 years) 2) have mixed experience in FPGA + system + hardware and some times software too, but when I do the interview (or) screen the profile in detail, they are lacking FPGA/digital fundamentals. It means they are software (or) hardware person with some exposure to FPGA, but have not independently handled FPGA. I request you to look for profiles who is basically in FPGA domain( atleast 5 years) , additionally they can have hardware, software exposure which is a value addition. I have copied the refined JD again which we received from customer 1. Minimum 7 years as FPGA designer. Preferably with high end devices from major FPGA vendors like Xilinx, Altera or Lattice. 2. Proficient in VHDL. 3. Experience in FPGA interfaces such as external memory and peripheral interfaces – DDR, Flash, I2C, SPI, UART, SERDES 4.
