The Lead Engineer will work on products catering to the Train Performance
portfolio of GE Transportation's Digital Solutions business, which includes
energy management products.
· Software Development experience and knowledge in vintage and
modern software languages
· Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools
and systems
*Roles & Responsibilities*
· Software Engineer will Lead the development and maintenance of
Locomotive Control System source code as well as systems and networks for
existing, installed-base locomotive product lines
· Analyze user stories to design and implement software solutions
for complex control systems to provide additional value and enhanced
operator experience to our products and customers
· Collaborate with engineering software team to build improved
software integration and development techniques
· Program (in C, C++, etc.) all applications, components, and
interfaces for new features and solutions
· Work closely with the commercial, systems, and controls
engineering teams to ensure application development meets product
specification requirements, as well as partners and vendors to ensure
inter-operability and reuse
· Govern and execute the Software Development Lifecycle through
design, implementation, and test software, while ensuring quality delivery
· Participate actively in design and code reviews
· Drive performance and reliability solutions
· Be responsible for close interaction with customers to drive
requirements and customer satisfaction
· Grow talent through providing technical mentoring for more junior
