*Role: Front End Web Developer *
*Location: Irvine, CA*
*Duration: 6 Months*
*Requirements*
- Five or more years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience building core Java applications and REST API
services
- 2+ years of experience with AngularJS or ReactJS
- Software engineering experience with expertise in technologies like
JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Java
- Expertise with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and/or other front-end
technologies, as well as web frameworks (React, ReactNative, Angular,
Ember, Backbone) and front-end or web application development
- The ability to find fulfilment in building innovative products and
thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually-demanding and service-oriented
environment
- Experience with Agile software and test-driven development, as well as
developing user-facing software and working with the whole web stack,
including protocols and web server optimization techniques (preferred)
- Workflow flexibility and strong teamwork skills
- Experience with performance optimization techniques
- Experience with object-oriented design and building backend
applications with REST API services using Java or Node.js
- Experience designing and developing service-based architectures and/or
micro services
- Experience designing data persistence and caching concepts using both
SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g.: MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc)
- Enough DevOps experience to setup, configure and maintain your own
dev/build environment. Experience with AWS, Azure, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.g. Agile
software development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews,
design documentation, etc)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g.: Docker, Vagrant, etc)
- Experience with native and/or hybrid mobile development (e.g.: iOS,
Android, PhoneGap, ionic, etc)
- Hardware hacking and prototyping experience (e.g.: Arduino)
- Experience leading software engineering teams on Java projects
- Proven competencies in designing persistence and caching models
using MySQL
- Experience with modern DevOps environments in the cloud – AWS,
Azure, etc.
- Effective time management abilities in order to move quickly and
release small batches frequently
- A deep understanding of software engineering best practices such as
unit testing, code reviews and design documentation
- Workflow flexibility and strong teamwork skills
- The ability to build scalable, high quality, distributed services
- Entrepreneurial / Startup Experience
- A BS/MS degree in computer science, engineering or a related subject
