*Initial *contract period: *09/03/2018 to 02/03/2019 * Work Location: *San Ramon, CA *94583-2324 *Description:* *Summary:* The Application Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of business and technical information technology solutions through mobile application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology like dev ops and scrum. The skills progression identifies responsibilities ranging from basic programming assignments to being able to function in a single discipline to advanced specialty disciplines such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering, legacy evolution, or system infrastructure. *Mobile App Developer – Position Details* • We are looking for an iOS and/or Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse device platforms. Your primary focus will be development and support of mobile applications and their integration with back-end services that will simplify or automate Downstream business processes and workflows. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential. • Responsible for the lifecycle management of released mobile applications including but not limited to testing mobile apps on new operating systems and devices, ensuring code reviews and security scans and risks mitigated, and configuring environment to support application specific and technical requirements as per business needs and implementing solutions • Defines project scope, plans, and deliverables, including and proposed implementation dates. Researches, analyzes, recommends, and implements new technologies, standard processes, tools, and techniques. Assist in defining alternate solutions for the business problem. • Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code • Closely work with business partners to understand business requirements and translate into technical requirements, provide consulting, planning and technical services (e.g. enhancements, projects) to perform 3rd level design and support activities including mobile technologies, solutions, custom configurations and performance/troubleshooting for mobile platform • Participates as key contributor to application support including setting priorities for the activity queue, enhancement, and project work. • Stays abreast of both technology changes and Chevron operating environment changes to assess potential impact to supported systems and application infrastructures. *Must Haves:* *• 5+ years’ experience of mobile app iOS and Android platform development languages & tools including the iOS SDK, Objective-C, Java or XCode • 5+ years of Intermediate Programing experience- Leads the design, development, implementation, and support of mobile solutions encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies. • 5+ years of familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android and iOS applications to back-end services • Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices • Must demonstrate experience with a wide range of web authoring tools and technologies, examples as C#, TSQL or PLSQL, SSIS/SSRS, .NET or Java frameworks, Visual Studio Team Services, TFS, Git, Jenkins • Experience in managing Web/Mobile application and platform. * *Preferred:* • Bachelor’s degree is preferred • Experience or demonstrated knowledge of cross platform tools such as Xamarin would be a plus. *Additional Notes:* • Person will work within the mobility group- development and support for the downstream mobile apps. One new mobile app is “Pay at the pump” which will be deployed in September. • Address: 6001 Bollinger Canyon Rd • He/she will be working alongside the App owners daily • No traveling for this position *Deliverables**: *Transition knowledge and work from current mobility team member from another group and help develop the support model for mobility • Revamp and revive current mobility program and work with app owners on the roadmaps for each of the mobile apps • Get involved on current mobile development project teams to start knowledge transition so it can come over to support in new team • Closely work with business partners to understand business requirements and translate into technical requirements, provide consulting, planning and technical services (e.g. enhancements, projects) to perform 3rd level design and support activities including mobile technologies, solutions, custom configurations and performance/troubleshooting for mobile platform • Participates as key contributor to application support including setting priorities for the activity queue, enhancement, and project work. •Tests mobile applications on new operating systems (e.g. iOS 12) and devices, then reports findings and coordinates with app owners for sign off. •Maintains and creates technical documentation and knowledge sharing documentation around app support.
