Description of work to be done project name(s) to work on:

*         The Materials Management System (MMS) is used to track, record, 
evaluate, analyze, and review the quality of materials used on SHA construction 
projects. 

*         This includes establishing standards for database design, sign-on, 
help screens, audit trails, logging user access, and data validation. It also 
includes project information, materials, material products, plants, and sources 
approval process.

*         Development of this system has been divided into 9 modules. Module 1 
is nearing completion and covers System Management, Project Information, and 
Source of Supply. Also included are integrations with financial and 
construction systems, document management, E-mail, and the qualified products 
list (QPL).

 

The following modules will be designed and developed in this project:

*                     MdWare section for MMS Sample module is to be used by 
commercial pavement material producers, called QC users, and by OMT's pavement 
material testing team, called QA users. It will provide a web-based user 
interface for data entry of quality acceptance (QA) and quality control data 
(QC) data entry and review of laboratory or field-test data for pavement 
management reporting.

*                     Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) will be 
an additional module in Material Management System (MMS). LIMS will serve 
Office of Materials Technology (OMT) laboratories for testing materials. LIMS 
system will share user/application security, contract, plant, products, 
administration, sources, materials, and construction modules from existing MMS 
system.

 

The system is built on the following technologies / tools:

*         .NET Framework 4.6 with ASP.NET C# MVC architecture

*         Entity Framework 6

*         JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5 and CSS

*         Web services WCF, WEB API, and integration with backend services

*         Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 and Toad toots

*         Team Foundation Server

*         Oracle 12c and PL/SQL programming (transitioning to MS SQL Server at 
some point)

*         Linq, Lambdas expression

*         Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Service Oriented 
Architecture (SOA)

*         Microsoft Visual Studio 

*         Team Suite Testing Tools

*         Agile development
