*Job Title : DevOps Engineer* *Duration : 6 Months Contract* *Job ID : # TDCJP00003628* *Location : Santa Clara, CA – 95054* *Description:* *Key Responsibilities and Skills: * • You are responsible for establishing DevOps practices inside of Teradata's Unified Data Architecture teams. • You are center to help design and operate highly available software in large distributed and virtual environments. • Metric driven and focused on continual improvement • Comfortable working with distributed teams • Strong expertise in leveraging a wide variety of open source technologies • Automation is in your DNA • System and IT Operations • Continuous deployments *Tools & Experience: * • Strong code/scripting skills • Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems (experience with CoreOS a plus). • Experience working with complex network topologies • Experience working in a cloud/IaaS environment – AWS, Rackspace, Azure • Experience working with virtualization software such as VMWare and OpenStack • Containerization tools such as Vagrant, Docker • Configuration Management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible • Test and build systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, RunDeck • Orchestration tools such as Zookeeper, Kubernetes • Monitoring/Alerting tools such as Prometheus, Nagios, Grafana *Work Environment * • Hiring in our Santa Clara, CA office. *Basic Qualifications: * • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field *Our total compensation approach includes a competitive base salary, 401(k), strong work/family programs, and medical, dental and disability coverage.
