*UNIVERSAL Technologies is hiring Senior Data Analyst for long term contract at NYC.* *Client: NYC, DCAS (Dept of Citywide Administrative Services)* *Hours: 35 hours/week* *Interview type: In-Person * *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE * - Minimum of 8 years’ experience providing specialized knowledge of systems Data analysis. Excellent understanding the system from SQL database, and - Creating system analysis document. - *6+ years of experience with SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016 in creating data models and SQL scripting * - *6 + years of hands on experience using Microsoft Professional Studio, Adobe Acrobat in the MS Windows 2008-2016 environment * - *6 + years of solid experience in data migration of SQL Server. * - Create interface to transfer data sets/code to new system and lead work collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to establish data reporting architecture, strategy, and roadmap. - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide technical leadership for all data initiatives (i.e. design principles, ETL and BI architectures, business rules/logic, Operational Data Stores, enterprise data warehouse, source-to-target mappings, data lineage and meta data requirements). - Multiple full lifecycle implementation experience. - Skills in ascertaining requirements for automated processes and translating them into efficient database objects. - Ability to plan all phases of projects starting with source, transformation and target. - Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent organizational and time management skills required - Apply industry’s best practices in software development - Coordinate with business analysts to develop application tailoring to business needs and meet deliverable timelines - Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, team player and dynamic thinker - Strong knowledge of design patterns, software design and application of best practices *DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: - * - Skills in *MVSP/CICS 6.5.0, ADABAS(ADAMPM5)/ NATURAL 4.72, JCL, TSO, CISC VM. Solid experience with mainframe systems data extraction. * - Familiarity with *COBOL, decommissioning mainframe* systems.
