*Duration: 6 Months* *Location: Chicago, Illinois* *1 positions – Visual Studio 2013 or later, C#/ Winforms/ SQL developer – 6 months contract: start latest by Jan 18, 2019* *2 positions – Visual Studio 2013 or later, SQL/ C#/ Winform developer – 3 months contract: start late Jan/ early Feb 2019* *Our client in the Chicago downtown area requires Microsoft Visual Studio (2013 or later) Developers who would need to be onsite. * *Two individuals would be working with a Trading System team lead and the third would be working with a Data Warehouse and Reporting team lead on two separate projects. The Trading System project will be 6 months long and the Data Warehousing project will be for 3 months. The team leads will set them up with a roadmap/ guidance and will work with them directly to manage the project (in other words, they don’t need PM expertise, just strong coding expertise). Excellent communication skills are required. Must have minimum 3-5 years of .NET experience so the person can get up and running as quickly as possible. Must be self-sufficient in testing too.* *1st Project - Trading System Project* *This project requires the inclusion of new security types in the home-grown Order Management System (OMS). That would mean the development of roughly 6 to 8 new order entry screens and all the associated backend processing. The new developer(s) will be able to refer to the current code base and also have the direct guidance from the team-lead on OMS business logic and DB structure.* *The OMS has been developed in Visual Studio.net 2013, with C#, Winforms and SQL server. The effort estimate is 2000 hours and the project has to be completed by mid-year. Hence the need for two developers for 1000 hours each.* *In addition to the technical skills, it would be advantageous for the developer to have some trading systems background.* *2nd Project – Report Generation Project* *This team maintains the DataWarehouse/ database that all the core applications at PPM feed off and feed into. Team's responsibilities are around the DWH, building interfaces, reporting apps etc.* *The parent company has requested our Client for a new set of daily reports to be generated. This will require the development of a lot of ETL and console coding. This will include copying an overnight report process that is already in place and customizing it to the new need.* *The ideal candidate for this role is someone that is more data-heavy than someone that someone who is UI focused.* *The Client does not use SSIS (used in the past and has bumped into challenges troubleshooting from a support standpoint) This project requires someone who has the background and understands SSIS concepts well (understanding data transforms and code, fundamentals etc) and doesn’t need an SSIS Expert.
