Our client is the centralized technology services provider that delivers technology infrastructure and services to approximately 28,000 city government employees. Core service areas include: Technology Architecture and Security, Technology Service Delivery and Management, Client Services and Project Management Office, Public Safety Systems and Wiring, Technology Administration, Policy and Governance. We are helping them find a talented Linux Engineer to join their team ASAP and work with the existing IT team to accelerate the upgrade of the company’s critical ERP Upgrade project (PeopleSoft) and Identity Access Management (IAM) enhancements. *Linux Engineer Desired Education/Training/Certifications, Experience and Skills: * • Previous experience as a Senior Linux Engineer or related experience in a large enterprise Linux environment that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform essential duties; • Experience working as a Senior Level Linux Engineered systems Infrastructure Support Engineer, • Experience with a solid understanding of *load balancing*, *horizontal scaling*, *UNIX-related network services*, *TCP/IP networking, DNS and HTTP* (s); • Experience in project management; Familiarity with Windows Server *OS*, *WSH*, *Perl*, *Visual Basic* or batch file commands; • *Experience with Visio*; • Ability to interact effectively with team members and all levels of users; and to balance customer needs while adhering to corporate and department policies; • Attention to detail and commitment to quality; • Ability to develop and follow written procedures and guidelines; • Develop and execute Project plan; • Ability to work well with limited supervision; and • Ability to multi-task and deal with changing and competing priorities.
