*POSITION TITLE: Software EngineerLOCATION: Cedar Rapids, IAEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full time/Contract* Roles & Responsibilities · Development and Verification for Flight Display Application Software as per DO 178B/C. · Perform Software Unit testing using Matlab Simulink Model-In-Loop (MIL) system. · Perform Integration testing using Matlab Simulink Processor-In-Loop (PIL) system. · Peer review artifacts developed by other engineers. · Finding and reporting high-level software requirement issues. · Execution of test procedures on interface emulation rig and test the functionality as per high-level requirements. · Troubleshooting the hardware/software issues found during test procedure execution. · Participate in software management using agile methodologies (Sprint planning/retrospective/scrum meetings. · Perform structural coverage analysis. Required skills and Qualification. · 6-12 years of experience in the field of embedded application development and verification. · Experience in real time embedded application. · Programming proficient in C language. · Familiar with industry standards in platform software and display application design, development and verification (e. g – device drivers) including RTCA DO178B/C · Knowledge/experience with software engineering processes including. - Requirements and design documentation creation. - Test / Verification procedures, cases, and report creation. - Ability to adhere to formal workflow processes using Agile scrum method. - Structural Coverage knowledge for DO-178B DAL A. - Matlab Simulink based design and development · Basic familiarity with Flight Display Applications and related aspects (Primary Flight Display, Compass, Navigation, IAS, Altitude etc.) · Basic familiarity with certifications and related documentation with FAA/EASA SD.
