Hi, I'm new to this list, and just started going back to school after many years. I'm having a really hard time crabbing onto the concept of comma-splices. I know you need to add a subordinating conjunction, or semicolon, or semicolon and a conjunctive adverb, or coordinating conjunction. What I'm having a problem with is recognizing them.
