Stay STAY em inglês significa ficar no sentido de permanecer em um certo local; hospedar-se.
Ex.: I will stay home tonight. ( Vou ficar em casa hoje à noite.) When I go to Rio de Janeiro, I usually stay at the Sheraton. (Quando vou ao Rio de Janeiro, geralmente fico no Sheraton.) GET Quando dizemos ficar em português significando tornar-se ou estar, NÃO UTILIZAMOS STAY. Ex.: She got tired. (Ela ficou cansada.) She was tired. (Ela estava cansada.)
