Dave, Thanks for your response. My mother’s maiden name is Thompson. She is age 96 and still going strong. Henry Thompson is the physician I mentioned and his second child (and son) was Robert Hely Thompson. My grandfather was John Blake Thompson, Robert’s eldest son, who was London-born and raised. I understand Robert lectured in mathematics at Trinity College (so we plan to visit the university while in Dublin). Sorry for the confusion over last names...my mistake.
