Yes, Jim, there is a Digest option -- as there is with most mailing lists.

However, that option does have a serious drawback.  One of the big advantages
of participation in email lists is the way in which the contributions of
different people on the same subject are threaded in a conversation, thus
making it easy to follow the discussion and understand the successive
contributions and how they relate to each other.  This threading relies on each
email being sent as a reply to an earlier email in the same conversation.  The
threading uses the headers of the emails to recognise that they are in the same
conversation.

It is not possible for the reader of a digest email to reply to one of the
topics included in the digest email and for that reply to be included in the
conversation on that specific subject.  It is not enough to simply use the same
subject heading because, as mentioned above, the system uses the headers of the
emails rather than the subject or title.

If I were the owner/moderator of an email list, I'd be very tempted to not make the
digest option available at all.  But that's a personal opinion, and you'll probably
all be glad that my rant is now over <g>.

Just to be sure everyone is aware of the "Digest" option. With the Digest
option, instead of receiving one email for every posting, you would only receive ONE
email per day which would include all postings for that 24 hour period.

If you wish the Digest option, please drop me a note!

Thanks for your support
