I am confused. Clonfeacle, Killyman, and Dungannon seem to belong to both Tyrone and Armagh in some records. A Tithe applotment Book for Clonfeacle parish, 1833, has Clontyclay, nestled under Clonmore. A baptism transcription for Charlotte McQuade of 01 Jun 1820 gives - Parish: Clonfeacle, Alternative parish names: Moy, Diocese: Armagh, County: Tyrone, Armagh. Subsequent baptisms of the family are at ‘Clontyclae, parish of Dungannon, County Tyrone’. Others are at Derrykoher, parish of Dungannon. Have I just got myself terribly muddled? When alternative names are given for a place, what does that mean? Killyman seems to have several alternatives. I have read quite widely trying to understand the townlands, etc, but obviously am not clear! I think these places are near the border of Tyrone/Armagh, so perhaps it doesn’t matter?
