TYRONE (closed) McCONNELL Oliver McConnell of Tattynure died 21 August 1849 aged 49 years His wife Margaret died 1 December 1891 aged 79 years Their son Oliver died 12 August 1874 aged 22 years Their daughter-in-law Isabella died 11 July 1890 aged 39 years Her children Oliver, Isabella, Margaret and John who died young Andrew John McConnell of Letterkenny [Co. Donegal] died 30 July 1898 aged 50 years Robert McConnell died 17 February 1902 aged 69 years McCONNELL (Coat of Arms on top) William McConnell died 18 December 1755 aged 82 years CRAWFORD Robert Crawford 1746-1817 His wife Jane Stuart 1746-1835 Their son John Crawford 1786-1828 His wife Margaret McCONNELL 1788-1865 And their daughter and grandson Martha Crawford Buchanan 1813-1881 James Oliver Buchanan 1850-1873 All of these rest near this spot Robert Buchanan 1801-1888 Husband and father of the latter two died in Canada and rests in Mt Hermon Cemetery, Quebec, Canada Also Oliver Crawford of Dunbreen 1827-1921 Also with his wife Anne Pollock 1827-1908 ________________________________ From: Margaret Barnes via CoTyroneList <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, 11 February 2025 3:10 PM To: CoTyroneIreland. com Mailing List <[email protected]> Cc: Margaret Barnes <[email protected]> Subject: [CoTyroneMailingList] Re: McConnell and Cappagh Hi Janet & Jeanne, Oh, how confusing these Wilsons are. I have lots of DNA matches for my James Wilson (f. Matthew) but only 3 for my other James Wilson (f. Robert b. Mulnahorn Aghaloo) and those matches are named “Craig” not Wilson. Even in the townland of Mulnahorn there were a couple of Wilson families. Maybe I will have to be patient and wait for more DNA matches. It is interesting that among my James Wilson f. Matthew matches the name McConnell occurs in the USA, and now here it occurs with this other Wilson family in US. I will have to check if these are the same families. I will have to re-read these letters and try to make head or tail of them.
