| Thanks Len for this posting. There is a William Chambers of Lifford listed in the linen merchants that is of interest to me. My 3d great grandfather John Chambers (1796-1867) was a linen merchant in Newtownstewart. He raised a family there and he and his wife Martha (nee Maclear) are buried in the Church of Ireland cemetery at the top of the hill in the downtown. John would have been about 20 in 1816.
