This is not as easy as it might sound.
When I talked to Damien about it on IRC last time, he said it would
be a very trivial change - his preferred approach would be to simply
store old documents as attachments.
and this can be done from your app today and that is
what he ment. Getting persistent revisions working
properly with replication is not a trivial change.
Damien, correct me if I am wrong, though I am pretty
sure I am not.
