Jack,

If you're refering the the Garmin GPSIII, yes. I bought one from Bass Pro
Shop
about three years ago for around $360. It works great. But my advice is,
if you're
buying it for the moving map don't bother. I did and I've found I never
use the map.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good map but I've found that if you use the
navigation
page showing the bearing to the station, speed, ETE that's all you really
need. I

As for the tracking speed, they say it'll track to 600MPH but since the
C150 I was
flying could only get up to about 105 that's all I can attest to. (Some
day I'm gonna
strap JATO bottles, about 8 of 'em, to that 150 and then I'll know for
sure.)

Anyway, it's a pretty good unit and easy to use (for the most part). I did
need to get
some help from a factory rep at Oshkosh to show me how to trun off the
"bread crumb"
feature. Everytime you go somewhere it leaves a dashed line to show where
you came from.
I had dashed lines all over the map.

It'll store up to 500 way-points and the can be entered by keying them in
or, if you're
at the place (like and airport) just push the enter key and then give the
way-point a name.
Simple, really.

Has anyone tried the GPS III tha Wal-Mart sales?

I would like to hear how it works. I watched the video and it looked
impressive, for $395. Was wondering how the database worked with
airports.
