Subject: A little of this and that

Good morning all, Well for par I have been off the list again. Guess
I'll

blame it on the brown out and Black out we in Cal. have been having. :)

Have not heard from anyone who went to Marysville this weekend. Anyone

going to report on the Flyin? Could be all are having computer problems
too.

:)

Had to go to the home page and read up on what is happening.

Jan, there is a place up North that has an add saying that they have 8

Coupes that they are parting out. May still have a Battery box cover. If
you

have not found one yet.

Dick, I like the Idea of Bob's about the X-mas tree but I think you
should

have it over your shoulder. (Them little sticker can't hurt to much.) :)

Being a Colo. guy I think you get the picture I am seeing in my head. The

one with a sack of toys in one Hand and the cactus well you get the pic.

Could start a whole new Add campaign for NM. "Really Santa's live In New

Mexico."

My Two cents on what an Ercoupe with WING ROT is worth. "0" unless you

love pain. The way I put a value on any of the airplanes I buy is:

 1) How bad do I want it. (And for what reason.)

 2) What are the components worth on the market? cut that in half!

 3) >this is the big one< What can I afford?

 4) How long will the money be tied up. > what is it really costing me<

Storage, pick up costs & etc.

Repairing an Ercoupe is in the long run a losing fight. ( I use the word

repairing here for rebuilding because only the TC owner can rebuild per

FAA ) I have a A2A I paid top $ for because I wanted to Repair it and was

called down by an FAA person when I used rebuild in a conversion with her.

Running out of space, Yours, Warren H
