Was In San Jose at my Father in laws. Missed out on some things that I
should like to speak to.
1) using primer. OK may not be anything wrong with that. But if the
finger screen in the header tank is plugged with debris. It not going to
work to well. The primer attaches to the outlet of the header tank below
the
finger screen.
I personally would not want to chance it back to the airport. It goes
back to pick your spot and stick with it. That run back to the airport,
what
kind of land are you covering. Flat farm land, mountains, Rocks and
boulders, or lakes?
Remember the story of the poor fellow who had an engine lose power.
Picked his spot. On final the engine started running again. He though he
could get back to the field. Past the end of his spot, it quit. Now he had
no place to go but down. Killed he and his friend. Sure we all would hate
to
lose another Coupe. But we would miss you more.
Joa, I am with you 100%. No time for fear. You were trained well. It
came to you as you were shown. And as you said. Get as close to help as
you
can. When I became a member of EGC it was a farm house. I was not out of
99371 more than a minute before the Farmers son was there.
2) Guy wires. As Wayne Woollard told us at a flyin "Them guy wires
reach
out as far as the tower is high." That is why I fly higher than the tower.
I
see no need the be below there tops. Ag aircraft I don't fly.
3) while in SJ I did get on Dad's computer an went into Ercoupers.com =
For Sale site. If you have not been there see "Trade for a safe riding
lawn
mower." It sounds as if (to me) you folks who answered got laughed at by a
couple of T-craft , Aeronca or C120/140 drivers. You needed to look at no
return address. Hope, Tom goes in and deletes the hole thing.
Thanks, yours, Warren
