Yes Mike, it can always be worse with anything in life.  Spook is a
philosopher too, but I know this is not the place.  Sometimes, when I
can't do anything else, I go sit in one of the club planes, go over the
check list like I'm really going to fly.  Except that I just touch the
instruments.  I don't really start the engine,etc.  However, with my vivid
imagination, I can do quite a good job of reviewing my lessons this way.
It is realistic enough to increase my heart rate, just like it does before
I take off.  This may sound awfully silly to some folks, but it helps me.
Especially on the days when the wind is blowing so hard that I am REALLY
glad the plane is tied down.  I hate to think what would happen to it if
it weren't.


And to everybody: Happy Valentine's Day or Happy Un-Valentine's Day,
whichever 
is appropriate.
