Spook is a philosopher too, but I know this is not the place. Sometimes, when I can't do anything else, I go sit in one of the club planes, go over the check list like I'm really going to fly. Except that I just touch the instruments. I don't really start the engine, etc. However, with my vivid imagination, I can do quite a good job of reviewing my lessons this way. It is realistic enough to increase my heart rate, just like it does before I take off. This may sound awfully silly to some folks, but it helps me. Especially on the days when the wind is blowing so hard that I am REALLY glad the plane is tied down. I hate to think what would happen to it if it weren't. And to everybody: Happy Valentine's Day or Happy Un-Valentine's Day, whichever is appropriate.
