----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----I don't have the FARs handy either, but we put the NC numbers on my Ercoupe about 13 years ago, when I stripped and polished the plane and we redoped my wings. As I recall, if the plane is at least 30 years old you can do this.

tail or wing. Keep in mind these have been repainted and the NC was put back
