Richard: I put an air oil separator on our Coupe and it really made a difference. However, I used The $40 dollar one from Wicks. Unless the M-20 folks have the Ercoupe listed on their STC, you will have to get a one time approval (read that as 337). I put the Forney breather kit on, which routes the breather over the top of the engine, and added the air-oil separator between the two pieces of vent tube. I used a piece of aluminum angle, bolted to the upper firewall stiffener, to mount the air-oil separator on. Then only about 2 1/2 feet of 5/8" hose was needed to hook everything together. Our O-200 already had a plug in the lower left accessory case, so I plumbed the separator drain into that. The improvement was dramatic. We went from drips of oil out the breather after every flight to wiping an oil colored streak off the fuselage every 15 - 20 hours.
