Ed:

First off, don't fly!  Those backfires can set your engine compartment on 
fire.  Guarantied to ruin your whole day.  Second, contact Dawley
Aviation.  
They can build a new exhaust from the rust off an old flange, if need be.

Top shelf work at reasonable (by aircraft standards) rates.
